Hello again. I have finally got the new Racingsense Forum up and running. It is not as good a the old Snitz one but I couldn't get ASP working on my new Linux server. I eventually gave up with Windows 7. I couldn't get the IIS7 web server to run properly. This is running Debian Linux like the www.simplesoftware.co.uk one. It is faster and much, much better. To carry on with the 'Bin all Microsoft Products' theme, I've been working on a web based version for a while now and, although it is still 'work in progress'. it is coming along nicely. For those who have an account, go to http://www.racingsense.com/logonssr.php and use your usual e-mail address and password. It was originally designed to be used via a mobile phone so there is a minimum of typing, and , as usual, no pop-ups and advertising. At the moment if displays the currect declarations, clock ratings, previous runs, etc. but I am adding extra functionality as I go. Eventually, I hope to bin the Visual Basic version completely, but only when the web version fully meets your requirements.
I have also sorted out the new broadband connect to the Racingsense server.The http://www.racingsense.com/download.htm program and database download should be far faster than the http://simplesoftware.co.uk/ssr1.htm one, but we'll see. If you have trouble with this forum, e-mail me. I found some bugs today when new users try to logon. I've fixed them but I expect there will be more.
